The Genius of Absolo
Brothers Joe and Chris Arsenault have always enjoyed a challenging workout. The spark of genius that created the Absolo exercise system came to Chris after he and Joe were training in their garage using a medicine ball and an abdominal bench. They both agreed the back-and-forth medicine ball tossing delivered an excellent abdominal and cardio workout, but only when both of them were available. What if exercisers could get the same results by themselves?
Chris went to work designing a durable device that provided a vigorous and entertaining abdominal workout without a training partner. Over the next five years, determined to realize his vision and share the benefits with others, he continued to consult with Joe on product development. Together they refined and advanced the concept that evolved into today's Absolo phenomenon.
Joe Arsenault brings an extensive career in new product development to his position as Absolo president. His background includes heading the financing for Summit Technology, the company that developed the groundbreaking Excimer Laser used in LASIK laser vision correction. Joe also spent five years spearheading the financing for LIDAK Pharmaceuticals (now called Avanir Pharmaceuticals), the company that developed Abreva, the over-the-counter medication for treating fever sores and is sold worldwide (marketed in the US in partnership with GlaxoSmithKline).
With his proven experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, Joe has a unique perspective regarding the development of successful health and fitness products. He has partnered with his brother Chris in bringing the Absolo exercise system to the commercial fitness market while developing an Absolo consumer product line for the home.
